Hi, I just wanted to pop on and tell you all about my floristry journey as an independent florist, which has led me to launching a floristry business in Plymouth, the middle of a global pandemic.. I must be mad!

I have always loved being creative, even from a young age I could be found making something, more often than not presents for family members.
I can remember being so excited to go to my grandparents house so I could admire the beautiful flowers growing in their gardens. I was often found picking the flowers and making a small bunches to give to family members.
As I grew up my interest in being creative near really went away, but life took me down a path of sales and retail, I always felt I was missing something, but I could never put my finger on it.
So one day when I saw a floristry course being advertised on Facebook and I took the plunge and I have not looked back! It has filled the missing gap.
The course took place over 16 weeks. It was an introduction to floristry, the course was run through Bicton college in their Plymouth campus.
From the first lesson I was hooked, I couldn’t wait to get back in the classroom each week. I found my love for bold, bright and vibrant flowers early on, which inspired many of my bouquets.
I didn’t want it to end and was so pleased when an opportunity came up to study the City and Guilds floristry level 2 qualification, with Bicton college, little did I know that I would be completing this course and subsequently the City and Guilds level 3 in throngs of a global pandemic, but even that didn’t deterred me.
